Pulled Pork

Ingredientes

  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder (épaule de porc, pork shoulder), or loin trimmed of fat and cut into 4-inch chunks
  • 2 tsp salt (sel, salt)
  • 2 tbs paprika (paprika, paprika)
  • 1 tbs onion powder (poudre d'oignon, onion powder)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder (poudre d'ail, garlic powder)
  • 2 tsp pepper (poivre, pepper)
  • 1 tbs chili powder (poudre de chili, chili powder)
  • 1 cup apple juice (jus de pomme, apple juice) or chicken stock (bouillon de poulet, chicken stock) or beer (bière, beer)
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (fumée liquide, liquid smoke)
  • 1 to 2 cups of your favorite BBQ sauce (sauce barbecue, BBQ sauce) (optional)

Modo de Preparo

  1. Cut the pork roast into 3-4 inch chunks (this will REALLY help your pork to get tender).
  2. Combine the dry spices and rub the pork roast with the spices.
  3. Place the seasoned meat in the inner pot, along with the apple juice or stock and liquid smoke.
  4. Place lid on pressure cooker and be sure vent knob is pointed towards sealed.
  5. Cook on high pressure for 40 minutes if using a pork shoulder or butt, and 30 minutes if using a pork loin roast.
  6. Once cook time has elapsed, let pressure release naturally for AT LEAST 15 minutes.
  7. Once pork is cooked, remove pork chunks from Instant Pot and place in a large bowl. Shred pork with 2 forks or handheld mixer.
  8. Add BBQ sauce to taste and mix into the shredded pork.
